Read for priorities
Look for the decisions, outcomes and working relationships the role repeats. Those signals tell you which parts of your experience deserve more space.
Change emphasis, not history
Move relevant examples forward and use the employer’s plain vocabulary where it accurately describes your work. Keep dates, responsibilities and outcomes consistent across versions.
Read it aloud
A tailored resume should still sound like something you could explain naturally. If a phrase feels borrowed or inflated, replace it with language you would use in a conversation.
